Abstract
The characteristics of different types of multimedia exhibition technologies are investigated in this article. The author considers the features of virtual and real historical and architectural environment interaction. The peculiarities of space formation of the open-air museums, created on the basis of architectural monuments, with the help of multimedia technical means are analyzed. The feasibility of multimedia exhibition technologies application for the open-air museums is substantiated
