ARCHITECTURAL ENSEMBLE OF THE POTOTSKYI IN TULCHYN, AS THE STANDARD OF CLASSICISM IN EASTERN PODILLIA

Abstract

A historic and cultural as well as urban panning architectural analysis of the main periods of the prosperity, decline and renovation of the Pototskyi palace in Tulchyn on Vinnitsia area at the end of 18th century have been reviewed in the article. The stylistic features of the palace’s architecture have been determined. The influence of early classicism on the formation of the principal aspects of the palace ensemble architecture surrounding has been analyzed. The main artistic and decorative methods as well as the regularities, compositional and spatial solutions to the architecture of palace complex have been revealed.
